Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  • Line a muffin pan with paper liners or spray with cooking spray.
  • Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter.
  • Whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Alternate adding the flour mixture to the wet ingredients with the milk and brewed espresso until just combined.
  • Incorporate the chocolate chips.
  • Fill each muffin cup about 3/4 full with batter, using a scoop or spoon.
  • Bake the muffins for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
