Banana Crumble Muffins Recipe

These moist banana muffins have a sweet crumbly streusel topping. They're the ideal breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 35 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease or line muffin cups with muffin liners.
  • Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, white sugar, egg, and melted butter.
  • Just moisten the flour mixture with the banana mixture.
  • Fill prepared muffin cups halfway with batter.
  • Combine brown sugar, 2 tbsp flour, and cinnamon in a small mixing bowl.
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut in until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
  • Sprinkle topping on top of muffins.
  • Bake the muffins for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
