These decadent Chocolate Caramel Muffins are perfect for breakfast or dessert. For a sweet and indulgent treat, moist chocolate muffins are studded with chocolate chips and drizzled with caramel sauce.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  • Mix the wet and dry ingredients together until just combined.
  • Incorporate the chocolate chips.
  • Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter from the prepared muffin tin.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce over each muffin.
  • Bake the muffins for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the muffins to cool for 5 minutes in the muffin tin before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
