Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until they are just combined.
  • Fold in the apple slices and caramel sauce.
  • Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with the batter.
  • Using your fingertips, combine the flour, brown sugar, and cubed butter in a small bowl until crumbly.
  • Crumble the topping over the muffin batter.
  • Bake the muffins for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the muffins to cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and have fun.
