Cinnamon Bun Muffins Recipe
These muffins have the same flavor as cinnamon buns but are much easier to make.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 20 minutes
- Total Time: 35 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
- Mix the wet and dry ingredients together until just combined.
- Brown sugar, pecans, and cinnamon should be combined in a small bowl.
- Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter, then top with a layer of brown sugar mixture.
- Top with the remaining batter and the remaining brown sugar mixture.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
