Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a muffin pan with paper liners.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Combine the melted butter, molasses, brown sugar, milk, and egg in a large mixing bowl.
  • Stir together the dry and wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with the batter.
  • Bake the muffins for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the muffins from the oven and cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
