Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Stir together the wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fill muffin cups two-thirds full with batter.
  • Bake the muffins for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and set aside for 5 minutes before removing the muffins from the pan.
  • Warm or at room temperature, serve.
